GUR is made by one person. This page says exactly what the website and the application collect, who else sees it, and how to have it removed. It is written from the code, not from a template.
The short version. Applying for the beta sends your answers to my inbox and your name and email to the service that mails you the download. The application itself only ever contacts the internet to activate or check a licence key and to look for updates. GUR contains no usage tracking of any kind: no analytics, no session or hour counting, no feature reporting, and your audio and projects never leave your machine.

The beta application form
The beta form collects a name and an email address, which are required, and optionally: which operating systems you use, your controllers and gear, the tools you currently use, other projects, social handles, and what you are hoping GUR does for you. The page also records whether you applied from a phone, tablet or computer, so I know what kind of setup the feedback comes from.
The form is delivered by FormSubmit, which forwards it to my inbox at contact@21stcenturyartisan.com. Immediately afterwards, your first name and email address only are passed to EmailJS to send you the welcome message with the download link. Your questionnaire answers are not included in that email and are not given to EmailJS.
Basis: your consent, given by submitting the form. Withdraw it at any time by emailing me, and I will delete the application and the address.
What the application does

The fingerprint exists to enforce the per-device limit on a licence. It cannot be reversed into your name or machine details. This is also stated in section 3 of the licence agreement shown during installation.
Basis: performance of the contract, that is, providing and protecting the licence you bought, and my legitimate interest in offering updates.
During the free trial
The trial is entirely local. Its start date is stored on your own machine, in your Windows user profile and registry, and is never transmitted. The trial contacts no server at all, apart from the update check above.
Files kept on your machine
GUR stores your settings, projects, pattern banks, analysed track data, cue points, MIDI mappings and any separated stems under your own user folder. These stay on your computer. Deleting the application folder removes them.
Optional extras
If you install the optional stem separation or export helpers, they run locally on your own machine and send nothing anywhere.
Usage tracking
There is none. GUR does not count launches, measure session length, record which features you use, or report anything about how you work. If that ever changes, it will be opt-in, off by default, described on this page, and announced in the release notes rather than slipped in.
How long things are kept
- Beta applications: for as long as the beta programme runs, or until you ask me to delete yours.
- Email addresses used for beta and release mail: until you ask to be removed.
- Licence and activation records: held by Lemon Squeezy for as long as the licence exists, under their own retention policy.
Your rights
If you are in the EU, the UK, or another place with comparable law, you can ask for a copy of what I hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, object to how it is used, or ask for it in a portable form. Email contact@21stcenturyartisan.com and I will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your national data protection authority.
Other people's services
FormSubmit, EmailJS, Lemon Squeezy and GitHub each handle data under their own privacy policies. The in-page demo of the browser version of GUR runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing to me.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes to what is collected will be called out in the release notes as well.
